Recently we announced that History Channel’s Vikings was on the list to be glorified as Funko POP Vinyls figurines. Well, we can announce that the wait is almost over! May 2015 is the arrival date and you can pre-order the Vikings figures now.
On offer are five figures so far: Ragnar (Travis Fimmel), Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick), Rollo (Clive Standen), Floki (Gustaf Skarsgard) and the Seer (John Kavanagh):
While I am a bit disappointed not to see Helga (Maude Hirst) in the line up, I am more than impressed with just how creepy cute they have made the Seer! I am also surprised to see Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) and, especially, Athelstan (George Blagden) missing from the line up.
You can pre-order the whole set or individually by clicking here.

So far we know that Ragnar (played by Aussie actor Travis Fimmel) will travel to Paris to continue his raiding ways. There is also a few new characters popping up in Season 3 of Vikings. Fans of FX’s vampire series, The Strain will recognise Kevin Durand. In Vikings, he will play a character called The Wanderer. Not a lot is known yet about the role he will play, but there is some suggestion he will either be involved in or be present for the death of a major Vikings character in Season 3. So make sure you keep the tissues on hand because the death of a Vikings character always hits us fans hard!

Alyssa discusses what it’s like to ‘live the dream‘:
Recently, Alyssa Sutherland, the Australian actress who plays Ragnar’s (Travis Fimmel) second wife, Aslaug, in History Channel’s Vikings, spoke to GamerHub.tv about what it’s like starring in Vikings. She had plenty to say, including:
What she has learned about Vikings from being in a TV series historically based on them.
What she thinks of her character, Aslaug.
The differences between the two opposing religions present in Vikings: Christianity and Paganism.
What it’s like being the least liked wife of Ragnar according to the fandom.
The challenges of being a celebrity within the spectrum of social media.
Vikings the video game – who do you think she would base her character Aslaug on?

Journey to a thrilling ancient world in this epic new series about history’s bravest and most brutally fearsome warriors…VIKINGS. Ragnar, a would-be Viking chieftain, longs to fulfill his destiny as an explorer and conqueror, alongside his ambitious brother Rollo and loyal wife Lagertha. But as Ragnar leads daring raids in distant realms across the ocean, treacherous forces in his Norse homeland conspire against him. Faced with shocking betrayals and the temptations of a mysterious seductress, Ragnar must wage war on the battlefield — and within himself — to protect his freedom, family and life.
Fans of the History Channel’s Vikings can now listen to as well as watch the show:
Visually, History Channel’s Vikings is stunning. The attention to detail in the costumes, hair, landscape, structures and boats is amazing. But, to top it all off – besides the wonderful dialogue written by Michael Hirst – the music is something else altogether.
The haunting track If I Had A Heart by Fever Ray starts each episode off beautifully and then composer Trevor Morris weaves his magical music score through the rest of the show. Trevor is a Canadian born orchestral and electronic music composer and producer. He also composed the score for The Tudors, The Pillars of the Earth and The Borgias. Trevor was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music for his score for The Borgias and an Emmy for Outstanding Music Composition for a Miniseries, Movie or A Special (Original Dramatic Score) for his score for The Pillars of the Earth.
