Floki is a boat maker and one of Ragnar’s closest friends. He is played by Swedish actor Gustaf Skarsgard. Floki is believed to be a descendant of the trickster god Loki.
In Season 1 we find Floki building the boat that will eventually sail Ragnar West into England. Floki lives apart from the rest of Kattegat with his lover, Helga.
In Season 2, it appears Floki is going to betray Ragnar after he sides with King Horik. This turns out to be a plan hatched between Floki and Ragnar in a bid to overthrow the King.
